The location suitability check:

Terrain requirements

Almost any surface can be suitable for a Modular Pumptrack. Underused spaces can be activated, skateparks can be expanded, and school playgrounds can become even more engaging places for movement and play.

In many cases, no building permit is required.

Site checklist:

The Surface

What is the condition of the ground? Will the Modular Pumptrack be installed on an asphalt schoolyard, grass field or forest floor? Depending on the site conditions, additional ground protection panels can be used beneath the modules. The surface must be capable of supporting the weight of the pump track.

The inclination

A maximum gradient of approximately 3% in any direction is recommended. This ensures the track remains level enough for the rollers and berms to function as intended.

The size

The smallest circular layout, the SPEED RING, requires approximately 270m², including a recommended safety clearance of around 2 metres. Beyond that, the possibilities are almost unlimited.

The Shape

There are almost no restrictions here. Thanks to the modular system, layouts can be adapted to fit available space and work around existing features or obstacles.

The location

As children are often the primary user group, accessibility should be considered when selecting a site. Good connections to residential areas, schools, public transport and existing wheeled-sport routes can help maximise usage.

On the move

Thanks to its quick and simple assembly and dismantling process, the Modular Pumptrack can also be relocated between different sites when required.

Preliminary Layout Visualisations

To support the planning process, proposed layouts can be graphically integrated into the intended site in advance, helping stakeholders visualise how the pumptrack will fit within the available space.
