An Opportunity for Children and Young People Across Germany
The future package for exercise, culture and health will continue in 2024. The focus of the funding is on projects that benefit: at least 3 children and young people up to 26 years of age. Planned and implemented independently.
Now is the time to act, because the total of 4 mandatory application phases (see below), start from 15.02.2024. The allocation of funding 5,000 to 30,000 € takes place on a greyhound principle (as quickly as possible).
Past successes include: the city of Kreba-Neudorf who in 2023 received full funding for a modular pumptrack from the future package. So the chances are very good!
No Modular Pumptrack in Your Area Yet?
That works in your favour. Applications score more highly when the proposed project fills a genuine gap locally.
A Large Group of Young People Involved?
Also an advantage. The greater the demonstrated need among young people, the stronger the application.
Four Steps to a Successful Application
Step 1 — From 15 February 2024: Digital Consultation
At least three children or young people aged up to 26 must attend an individual digital consultation session with the Future Package team. The project profile is only made available after this step is completed.
Step 2 — Complete the Project Profile
Young people can fill out the project profile together with their sponsor — a club, school, local authority or similar organisation. We are happy to help and can offer guidance on how to present the application as effectively as possible.
Step 3 — From 22 February 2024: Consultation Submission
Once the project profile has been submitted to the Future Package consultation, a project ID is issued this is required for the final application.
Step 4 — Submit the Application
The final application is submitted in connjunction with the sponsor. If approved, the Modular Pumptrack could be with you from 25 March 2024 onwards.
Who Can Act as a Sponsor?
A sponsor is required to submit the funding application on your behalf. Eligible sponsors include independent or public youth welfare organisations, as well as other legal entities under public or private law based in Germany — for example, non-profit associations or schools acting through their school authority.
Further Information
A second application phase opens on 15 April. All projects must be completed by 31 December 2024. Fortunately, the Modular Pumptrack can be delivered within a few weeks and installed in just a few hours — well within that timeframe.
