Learn and Improve on the Modular Pumptrack

E-Bike Riding Center Ischgl Austria

The world's only E-Bike Riding Center is taking shape through a partnership between the E-Bike World Federation (EBWF) and the Paznaun Ischgl bike region. The core concept, including the obstacles and modular pumptrack, was developed in collaboration with ALLEGRA, with implementation planned across three phases.
Using the latest technology, a Modular Pumptrack curve combined with VELOPARK modules can develop e-bike riding skills and improve e-bike safety. As more and more riders, including older cyclists, discover the appeal of e-bikes, dedicated test centres like this, in a controlled environment, give everyone the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice before heading up to the mountain and the trails.

The Riding Center

A complete solution

A closed pumptrack layout isn't always necessary. Individual elements, such as curves or waves, can equally serve as the basis for a test centre or action park.

The first teaching modules have been in use on the Phase I course in Ischgl since June 2024. Support and rental e-bikes are available through local partners Bründl Sports and Simplon.
The course presents a range of real-world scenarios: steep mountain terrain, technical passages, cattle grids, loose gravel and more. A variety of surfaces are incorporated throughout, including a section with a Modular PumptrackCurve and also some VELOPARK Modulesintegrated into the course. Measuring instruments record each run and provide detailed analysis and feedback: identifying strengths, and highlighting where more efficient or capable riding is possible.

The E-Bike Riding Center Ischgl will be developed gradually over the coming years. Phase II will deliver an updated E-Bike Riding Center. A connected course with additional elements and digital measurement will be ready as early as 2025. Phase III, featuring an even larger course, will follow the year after.
