In Just a Few Hours, 68 Metres of Track Takes Shape

Construction diary: World Cup Classic for Brunsbüttel

Quick and easy installation on any open space

This isn't your typical construction diary. Why? Because assembling a CLASSIC EDITION Modular Pumptrack usually takes just a few hours. Of course, the exact installation time depends on factors such as the size and condition of the site, the track layout, the number of modules involved and the number of helping hands available.

One thing remains consistent: assembly is quick, straightforward and accessible. Using the example of Brunsbüttel, we'll show you how it works. The municipality in Schleswig-Holstein had an entire sports field available and wanted to enhance the space with a WORLD CUP Layout .

The conditions could hardly have been better. Werner and his team had plenty of support, the site was ideal and the autumn sunshine did the rest.

Let's go!

World Cup Classic Edition

Marine-grade plywood modules, a fibreglass riding surface and an additional non-slip quartz-sand finish combine to create a durable and high-performance riding experience. Looking for more information about the CLASSIC EDITION?

Step 1: Delivery

The modules have arrived. Depending on customer requirements, the CLASSIC EDITION can be delivered in a range of colours and can include customised user information boards and optional branding elements.

The modules are shipped directly from the factory on specially designed pallets and delivered to site by freight carrier. A tail lift can also be provided where required. After a quick inspection, Werner and his team begin removing the protective wrapping from the modules.

Step 2: Preparation

If the area is as ideal as here in Brunsbüttel, no major preparation is required.

The installation area is measured, and the pallets and modules are positioned close to their final locations. If your site is smaller, contains obstacles such as trees, has uneven ground or softer surfaces, that's no problem. We have extensive experience working in a wide range of environments and can provide suitable solutions for virtually any open space.

Assembly instructions for each layout come with every delivery and are also sent in advance by email.

Step 3: Place and connect the modules

Time to put the pieces together.

Each module is connected step by step according to the installation guide. Thanks to clear labelling and straightforward instructions, almost anyone can assist with assembly.

All fixings are concealed, meaning no screw heads are visible on the riding surface or the outside of the modules. This not only creates a clean appearance but also improves safety and helps protect the installation from vandalism.

The basic tools and required screws are included in delivery.

At this stage, the Modular Pumptrack begins to take shape quickly. Before long, the temptation to grab a bike, scooter or skateboard and give it a try becomes difficult to resist.

Step 4: Install the exterior walls

The final construction step is attaching the outer curve panels. These provide the finishing touch visually while also contributing to safety, stability and opportunities for branding or sponsor banners.

Step 5: Start rolling!

Once the last screw is in place, there is only one question left to answer: who goes first? Once you have figured that out, nothing stands in the way of endless fun on all wheels!

Congratulations to Brunsbüttel!

...and what happens next?

No new pumptrack project is complete without an opening event. In Brunsbüttel's case, BMX World Champion Kristaps Veksa was invited to celebrate the launch. As well as putting on an impressive demonstration, he also hosted a workshop for local children and young people, helping them develop their riding skills and confidence.
