Try and Buy in Hesse/Germany: A resounding success
The Modular Pumptrack in Gudensberg was initially hired for a four-week trial period. It quickly became clear that a permanent installation was needed: the track had become a genuine fixture in the town, used and valued by everyone.
A gathering place for all

The positive effects extend beyond the Modular Pumptrack itself: the other leisure facilities on the old sports field have seen increased use since the track arrived.
A Track That Moves With the Town
The Gudensberg installation has not stayed in one place. It started as a compact starter layout, the SPEEDRING on the old sports field in the town centre. When a local festival required the space, the track was temporarily relocated, then reinstalled as a larger, further developed layout with the support of the town's youth welfare, cultural and public relations departments, along with willing volunteers.

The Background: Rent-to-Buy
A Modular Pumptrack had been on the agenda of the youth commission since 2022, with the aim of expanding what the town could offer young people. The idea of hiring a mobile system took shape quickly — giving the town the flexibility to relocate it to different areas as needed.
A worthy investment
From the 1st April, the Modular Pumptrack went into its trial phase. Both the user survey and a detailed observation of how the space was used pointed clearly in the same direction. The hire costs offset against the purchase price. Purchasing a permanent pumptrack was the obvious choice!
