Why pump tracks should be made of concrete

Concrete is the new asphalt

Concrete, asphalt or dirt — which surface is right for your pumptrack?

Here are some compelling reasons why, when in doubt, concrete is worth choosing.

Our Modular pumptracks can be set into the ground or placed directly on the surface.

Did you know?

Compared to asphalt, concrete is significantly more resilient and more durable. It also benefits from lower maintenance costs and a longer service life.

longevity

The concrete modules are extremely robust. They withstand the daily demands of varied sports use, even under heavy load.

Low Maintenance effort

Exposed concrete pumptracks require less maintenance and upkeep than tracks made from gravel, earth or asphalt.

Fast and Easy installation

Assembly is completed within a few days, significantly quicker than asphalt or dirt alternatives. Asphalt and dirt tracks are highly weather-dependent and can only be installed in dry conditions at a specific ambient temperature. Prefabricated concrete modules are delivered on pallets and can be assembled even in wet weather. In Berlin, for example, our team was able to complete an installation in just five days.

Flexible and Reconfigurable

If a module is damaged, the layout needs to change, or the space is needed for something else the modular system makes it straightforward to repair, reconfigure or dismantle.

All-Weather Performance

The specially developed surface provides extra grip and can be used in almost any weather conditions. Modules can also be grouted together for an even smoother riding experience, especially useful for smaller wheels.

Heat resistant

Friction from e-scooters and mopeds generates enough heat to soften and damage asphalt. Ready-mixed concrete is significantly harder and is not affected in the same way. Simple physics.
